rear wheel bearing?!?
I am just wondering what is so special about the rear wheel bearing. It seems way over priced for a bearing but I figure there is something that I don't know about it...

ever seen it?! it's not like a front bearing, it's sealed and a B*TCH to install
last one I got was around $50, not bad if you ask me... YMMV

C'mon Wayne... The bearing install is not that bad. All you have to do is borrow my bearing remover/installer. ![]()

I seem to remember reading somewhere that an AUDI 5000 wheel bearing fits in the 914. It was stronger AND more expensive.
Worse yet if you screw up a new bearing during install you get to buy another one. |
