914 8-track Radio Identification

Can anyone identify this Blaupunkt 8-track that’s in my ’73 914. Is it original or some after market knockoff? How can I tell?

One of the guys in my region has an original 8-track in his 74 LE. I believe it was a dealer option.

If memory serves me right The door for the tape is silver and not black like yours. Hell, I'm not even sure if it is a Blaupunkt.

I'll see if I can find out some more about his.

All 914s were shipped without radios. All were dealer installed. Original radios can be considered as one made in the 70s.

Turns out my friends 8-track was a dealer installed CRAIG.

I've got an 8-track exactly like that somewhere in the garage. Worked when I pulled it about 15yrs ago. Anybody want it?
