Question 914-6 intermediate plate??'s

Hello,

Will the 914-6 intermediate plate fit a side shifter tranny and allow use of the stock throttle setup, I have one lined up for my conversion but don't know if it will work??

If you've BTDT I would love your input.

Thanks

It will, but it'll be a PITA to reset everything. Probably better to convert the Six transmission to side-shift, or to get our bolt-on throttle bellcrank kit, which uses a (cheaper!) stock -four throttle cable. Or talk to Rich Johnson--he has a kit which replicates the stock Six setup. (That one requires drilling and tapping the hole in the intermediate plate.)

We found an early 914/4 Xmission in our shed that had the intermediate plate already drilled and taped. We transfered this plate to a newer box and used a stock 914/6 cable and linkage.
