Can people post their car's HP, and specify their engine setup to produce this HP (example: compression ratio, cam, bore, engine type, etc.)
Want to get a general idea of the different setups and HP gain over the stock setup. |

2.7L
Solex cams 9.7:1 pistons Webers Headers MSD This combo (with less compression & a bit milider cams) pulls 210 HP or so on the dyno per Andersons book.

A couple of month back, Grassroots Motors Sports magazine had an article on modifiying a 'stock' FI 2.0 and motor. They were able to get about 110+/- HP

Geoff, We have almost the same engine setup. Except I'm running Web cam. Haven't dyno my car yet. Did you get a chance to measure your 0-60 time? and 1/4 mile time? btw, I also have a 76 914 2.0L+ FI. |

No, I have never drag raced the car but my son might take it this summer for a fun run.
With 205x5015's Dunlop SP8000 it is quick which is nice for autoxing. That is where does well against other 914's set up about the same. It can't just be my driving! ![]() I am competitive with other guys running Kumo's and Hoosiers in the local GTU class. I have the MPS tuned alittle rich for WOT at about 12.7 to 1. Highway cruzin' it gets about 25mpg I am not a carb guy as I ripped them off and reinstalled the FI. Geoff
