Anybody know what this was?
Some previous owner cut this cable or wire. What was it for?

Not factory wiring so its anyones guess what it was for
|
yep, thats not factory. Its right where I put in new power to the head;ights.

heater control wire
|
Too far inboard for the heater flapper valve control cable, I think. But it's worth a look, to see if you can find both of those cables. There should be one on each side of the center tunnel. In stock form, they would have bare cables that go to the flapper valves.

oh dear, they may be right ....
|
Ah--I can see the heater flapper cables in the pic, now. They are obscured by other stuff in front of them, though.
Where the left side one exits the firewall can be seen in the space between the speedo and clutch cables; the right-side one can be seen (a bit fuzzily) coming out from behind the wiring harness boot. --DD |
I guess my eyesight or monitor is a little fuzzy. Are you sure it's just not one of the metal plastic covered tabs that bend down to hold wiring and cables in place?

Oh yeah, I get it now. Sheesh, it's so obvious, but it really looked like something had been cut. Thanks, all.

It had A/C at one time...don't know why it was removed.
