has anyone seen or can you recommend placement
of a Third brake light for 914,s ? I am thinking of installing a LED system on the rear of the roofline . I was looking at some led,s that are in some later car spoilers/wings , has anyone done one or ideas are welcome . The other way to go would be to get a wing with brakelight built -in and just install that . any thoughts ? |

Go to the 914 club, and search that.. there is one install you HAVE TO SEE..
If no luck searching *(will be in the garage) make sure to start 5 threads about it, or ask over in the ... whatever they call the place where the fellowship was bannished to. M

Mike, that is one of Engmans, I think. I have a generic ugly Kragen one that attaches on the grill, will take a pic tonight of it, as stated, it is ugly. I always thought that on the underside of the basket handle rollbar would be the best spot, perhaps one of those in the link mounted upside down, wiring run under the trim.

Cheap and easy, just like me. $15 led, sticky tape, wires under trim down to brake light. No holes, easy to remove. 3x as bright as stock light and up where the SUV's can see it (I hope).

I like that! How did you fill in the gap between the light and the bar? Where is the LED from?

Thanks. No real gap, light bar flexes enough to match slight curve in hoop. Bought it on ebay, don't remember source, and it came with that double side foam sticky tape.
