New virtual workshop on 914

Hi all, i am risking this. I am in the process of putting all the tasks done to my 1974 2.0L on a web page. it is getting near completion, and i am a real novice.
But as my engine is already out, and that i have skinned it to the case, i need your help identifying problems.
I put pictures of valves, heads, combustion chambers, pistons, push-rods of my 140K 2.0L engine.
Would you help diagnosing problems?
Remember this page is part of a more consistent web site to come. Go to:

The URLof the whole site is:

Go take a look from time to time.
Thanks to all.

Your engine appears to have lived a health life.
Pushrod - this seems to be a common occurance to the 914 engine. Any pushrods showing this sign of wear need to be replaced. Either a dent in the pushrod tube or most likely the wire retainer (bent up piece of wire that holds the pushrod tubes in) under the rocker has come into contact with the pushrod, wearing that notch in it.

Heads - Carbon build up is normal. Have a valve job done, the heads take all the abuse in an aircooled engine. After 140k at the very least the valve guides need to be replaced.

Pistons/cylinders - New is the best way to go. Reringing will not fix the taper worn into the cylinders. Go with euro 94mm, the wear and longevity far exceed the minimal HP gain in the 96mm. (the cylinder walls are 1mm thinner on the 96's)

Another item you might give thought to is the cam.
