Conversion throttle cable bracket?

I'm preparing for a 2.4 6 cylinder with triple webers conversion into my 74 1.8.

I'm looking for recomendations on how how to hook up throttle cable.

There are two possibilities: first is a stock setup with the bellcrank and other stock parts. Second is to use the 4 cylinder cable (as I did) and make a small bracket out of aluminum angle stock and bolt it onto the rear area of the engine. I feel the 4 cylinder cable is simpler, but some may disagree.

We used to carry a bolt-on bracket for a 911 bellcrank, but that seems to have been discontinued. It mounted further back than the stock Six bellcrank, but used the (cheaper!) 914-4 throttle cable and some 911 throttle linkage rods. You may be able to fab some equivalent up just from the pics in our 914-6 conversion section...

Rich Johnson (a914guy@aol) makes a replica of the stock Six setup. Requires drilling and tapping a particular boss on the intermediate plate.

Or just put a nice beefy bracket somewhere in the engine bay and run the cable direct to the cross-shaft of the carbs, like a four-cylinder setup would.
