Post " 915 transmission "

Hello everybody, I´m new on the 914 forum.
But I have good results in the 944 forum.
I´m the owner of 1 914 2.0 converted in 916 look.
Is very probable that I will bought another 914 (72 1.7 ) but this car have a VW trans and a v6 chev engine.
If I bought this car I want to convert to 3.0
911 engine and 915 transmision.
This trans fit perfectly or I need to do some mods ?.?
Thanks

you will either have to take the trans diff and flip it(or have someone else doit) or flip the trans upside down, modify the breather, clutch engagement method, and shifter. I believe the 901 trans will accomodate up to 300hp. I run one behind my 2.7 with no problem, I refrain from hard starts and speed shifting however.

I would use the 901 tranny. That is what I have in my 914 that I have converted to a 6 .

Cool

I would use the 914/901 tranmission with the
3.0 and get the converted flywheel that is need to match up to the 3.0. That is what I have done with my 3.0...

Thumbs up

Don't waste your time with the 915 or the G50 911 trans...the 901 is fine.
