CHT gauge sender location???
I have a 1.8L with stock FI and am adding a CHT gauge. I have read the spark plug location isn't the best. My question is if I install the sender below the stock cht sender will I have any problems? Should I seperate them with a washer (brass?) Has anyone done this? any problems? Thanks |

in the gauge kit i bought, the sender is sized to fit under a spark plug. it looks like a common "spade" type wire connector that can be bought at a hardware store but of course it is a "ring" not a spade exactly (hope you get the drift of this)so that it fits around the plug threads, then i routed the sender wire through the little spark plug hole cover (the thing that keeps the cooling air from going through the hole that the spark plug wire goes through). so.... i'm not sure you could put it under the cht as the threads are different sizes. also unsure if the ring material is anything special as it is the thermocouple
