I am about the begin reassembling the suspension of my 914 project and will be using Weltmeister bushings. I have read some comment about drilling the bushing and holder for a grease fitting. Any opinions out there? Thanks.

I would guess that you need to tap a Zerk fitting into the middle of the bushing housing. Also you would need to mill a small even channel around the circumference of the bushing to get the grease to the other side of the bushing. Thing that I guess would be hard is to do this in a way that the grease is evenly distributed around the bushing.
I'm putting on a high quality waterproof siliglide grease and then hope for the best. |

![]() By all means do it. (This is just the opinion of someone who did not, and who regrets is with every squeek). --John |
