Post Grease fitting on bushings

I am about the begin reassembling the suspension of my 914 project and will be using Weltmeister bushings. I have read some comment about drilling the bushing and holder for a grease fitting. Any opinions out there? Thanks.

Eric

I would guess that you need to tap a Zerk fitting into the middle of the bushing housing. Also you would need to mill a small even channel around the circumference of the bushing to get the grease to the other side of the bushing. Thing that I guess would be hard is to do this in a way that the grease is evenly distributed around the bushing.

I'm putting on a high quality waterproof siliglide grease and then hope for the best.

By all means do it. (This is just the opinion of someone who did not, and who regrets is with every squeek).
