Since i bought my 914, i am debating on this:
--- Should i flare it or not? --- Already have a set of fiberglass GT fenders. I cannot afford to buy steel. Is any of you ever had trouble installing fiberglass fenders? Wont they crack? This is what i heard. Plus, a local body shop is making custom fenders for typical Ford Escort out of a metal sheet. How hard would that be to make 914 steel flares if they can do that for an Escort? They could use my fiberglass set as a guide? Thanks for debating. |

Didn't we cover this "To Flare Or Not To Flare" stuff (ad nausea) in a previous post?
Personally, flaring the 914 sucks unless you ABSOLUTELY gotta run wider-than-stock, 914GT/911S/930-wanna-be rims/tires. Flip a coin, or do what you want; bottom line, you're the one who's going to live with the results. |
