Question Seat pivots/hinges

I would like some suggestions regarding the fabrication of these seat hinges (for lack of a better word) that have rusted up and busted on my brand new'73 2.0. There is a great tech article here regarding fabricating the brackets that weld to the pan, but the only mention of the hinges suggests using old ones, and I have seen none for sale. This is such a simple thing, I am almost ashamed to bring it up here, except I'm sure someone somewhere has some experience in this area, and there is always value in someone else's ideas. So tell me, what is the proper combination of common hardware store nuts-and-bolts to make this job easy? Thanx in advance.

Check with Pelican first. I have seen both replacement hinge assemblies and new floor pan sections.. one of these days soon I'll be shopping for these to replace the rusted out pans.

I don't like to refer to these folk but AA does carry a replica hinge at $45 per.

I had the same problem with my 71'. Solution...I ended up making my own brackets out of some keystock I had. I was actually fairly easy, It was harder getting the pins out that hold the old ones in. Good luck.

Thumbs up

Just a note of thanks to those responding to my post. Reading some of the responses to farleyd's questions about fender flares gave me enough courage to explain what this cheap SOB from North Georgia did. Material: Hardware store grade steel hinge. Tools: Hack saw, files, hammer, mig welder. Any questions? I thought not.

I lurk around here almost daily, and I enjoy almost all of the postings. Thanks again.
