Question Pics Rear Valance

Hello,

I've bought a new (old) rear valance for my car and there is something strange. All the holes are in good position but at the extremity of the valance (beyound "les ailes"), the steel goes up....

My explanation is not so good, so, I give you a picture :

What have I to do with this (where it's indiquate in black), is it normal (so maybe need a rubber between the rear valance and "les ailes" or have I to cut it ?

Thanks for help.

Thanks Joe. I've not still ordered for the parts. The hose is a good idea but I would like to make the same size that the original. So, what's the length and wich diameter ?

Thanks.
