Picked up my 914-6 finaly

Hey why is the 914club down again??? Finaly after all this waiting I got my 914-6. Or well I got Daves old 914-6. I was really in a rush to get it today because it's supposed to rain for the next 7-8 days. But darn if I didn't end up riding in the rain anyways.. Definetly not a fun car in traffic but I hope I get a chance to really test it this weekend. It's weird because I can't tell how fast I am going. 50 or 100 it all kinda seems the same

I'm in NYC. Yeah Now I got to figure this car out. How do I change the oil :P Actualy I need to adjust the idle. It's really high. Otherwise it runs really nice. Still getting used to the shifter. I am gonna pick up the wevo shift joing to make it a bit crisper. Also got to figure out how to put the reverse lock out back in.

Did you really pay $25,000 for the car. And if you did was it worth it.

I guess so. It is a very nice car. Dave did an excelent job building it. Everything to me seems top notch. No rust, well sorted chasis, awesome brakes, motors etc... Now if I could just get used to shifting I would be set. Gonna be a few more days I would imagine. It already has a wevo shifter. Not sure how it compares to the renshifter but it sure is pretty. I got to take it to see if in fact I can get a wevo gate shift put in. But I can definetly do the precisin shift joint.

I took it out today and wouldn't you know it I had my first mechanical problem HAHA For some reason it wasn't getting a good connection to the fuel pump. I kinda paniced at first but then trouble shooted and cleaned the connectors. Tightened them all back down and back on the road. Of course I first thought it was out of gas so I ran 1 miles to the gas station and back. Obviously that didn't work. Pretty funny how people keep coming up to look at it or try to ask me about it. I will definetly take pictures after I do the interior this weekend. I got parts from engman and renline plus a full hide to redo it. I know I need more leather but I can at least get the floors done. I only have pictures from when I test drove it and they are not very good. Got to replace that bottle with the catch can HAHA | ||
