Arrow Met a v8 914 today, for sale ...

random drive by, saw it sitting outside a shop in oakland ...

talked to the owner, got a v8 (ford 232 i believe), testarossa body kit, tons of mods.
'73 chassis, definately needs some TLC, a few FG cracks and such, bad paint. really nice radiator setup with alu shroud etc., vented through the wheel wells. he says it's overheating in stop/go traffic as the hot air can't go anywhere. got fans on the radiator but apparently not enough, i guess a hood-vent would fix that. custom dash with gauges. working *nitrous* bottle in the trunk.
car fired right up, runs great. stock 901 tranny. he said he did a pull on their dyno, some 220HP and ~200flbs of torque.
no major rust, hellhole is solid, has some surface rust. right suspension ear was re-welded, looked ugly but seems to work. /4 mounts removed. custom stiffening work done to the chassis. used to have a bolt in autopower cage, now removed, holes still there. firewall was cut instead of engine/tranny moved backwards, but is covered with a custom steel cover. W I D E wheels & tires, still 4-lug, dunno about brakes but huge weltmeister swaybar in the front.

definately needs some work, but it would be a good base for a nice v8 car, he wants ~5500 for it, but i'm sure you could negotiate ...

lemmy know if anybody is interested ...
Andy

220hp *without* the NOS ...

the NOS is just for that extra little humpf, not for making good numbers on the dyno ...

kids ...

anyways, would be a good project for someone other than me ...
Andy

PS: did i mention it runs and drives? engine fires right up ...
