A good thread for reviving....
for clarification, when you're measuring the rear toe with a string, each side will be 1/8" toe in from the string , not a 1/16" each side, total toe of 1/8. At least that's what you're shooting for, right? |
If you are shooting for 1/8" total toe in on the rear, you must have only 1/16" toe in on each side....totalling 1/8" toe in.

I've been so lucky, I've done alignments on about 20 different 914's and I've never broken a bolt. I've always used an impact to loosen them at first, maybe that's the holy grail.
I'm sure that you don't need to remove all 3 bolts to add or remove shims, only 1. The shims are slotted for 2 of the bolts, only the one in the corner needs to be removed. |
