Seems like $5500-6000 would be a nice price.

Are you buying?

Do you have more pics?
I like the tan interior. What shape is that in?

$10K seems a little steep to me. The values are risng. Very nice cars are hard to find and expensive to build. Maybe it is worth 10 large...

If it is as nice as you say, $6500 to $8000.

It is getting hard to find runners under $5000. Well, hard to find nice ones. Condition is everything.

I would say worth $10k, maybe more depending on the mileage.

i agree ...

i bought mine for 3500, ran like crap and the paint was a 50 foot(er) at best. had tons of issues.
that was 7 years ago.

$5k doesn't buy you a really nice car anymore ...

I don't think that's something to complain about though, Andy.

It means that our cars really are going up in value. Granted, some of us know of good parts stashed where we can get things for cheap(er), but I think the 914 will be a worthy car to restore within the next 15 years because of appreciation. While some will complain "the cars aren't worth it, the cars aren't worth it!" it means that they are becoming inexpensive to modify** investments.

I'm not saying you're complaining, I'm just saying that in the past members have whined that a 914 will cost them too much, and their reputation is of being a cheap (literally, cheap) fun car to get into, despite the Porsche parts prices and repair bills.

**inexpensive in comparison to 911s and cheaper than a newer Porsche.

I think prices are going up because the number of cars is going down.

I am guestimating 12-14k.

The car would have to be nearly mint and perhaps a cw car to be worthy of a price like that.

Martin, its hard to guess a realistic price on the limited info we have. We need tons more photos to see the condition, which determines the value. Trunks, interior, engine bay. A car like that in pristine, original-ish condition could well exceed $10K. If its just really nice, it could be well less than $10K.

$5K 914s these days are drivers, but will have lots of wear and issues.

2.) An attempt to justify price to SO.

3.) Sneaky purchase to re-sell at the Barret-Jackson Auction and make enough money to buy a real car.

4.) Get more utilization out of his new digital camera.

Great looking car. Resprayed or original? That will have a large bearing on the value.
