Right high beam doesn't work

My right high beam does not work. I installed a new headlight and that did not solve the problem. I got my circuit tester and found no power to the light (white wire) with the high beams on. I checked at the fuse box. No power to the white wires on fuse #2.

I've studied the wiring diagram in the Haynes manual and can't figure out what can be wrong. Any advice on where to go from here would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Roger

According to my Haynes schematic, one side of fuse 1 (S1, left high beam) and fuse 2 (S2, right high beam) are connected together on one side. The other side goes to the individual lamps.

So, measure voltage on the common side of S1 and S2 and they should be the same. If not, you may have found your issue. If the common side of both sides are the same voltage, then check the fuse and also check the cleansliness of all metal contacts. A little bit of oxidation goes a long way to causing big electrical problems.

Well, I cleaned the contacts and put in new fuses (though the others were not burned out, just cruddy looking). And it works now!

Thanks. Sometimes it's just the simple things.
