911 20mm sway bar

Thats what someone wrote on my bar. But looking at other swaybars that fit on the 914 this one doesn't look anything close. There are no end links. just the bar slides into a rubber bushing mounted right on the lower A arm. The rubber is split and the bar has a little bit of wiggle in it. Anyone ever see anything like this?

that's because it is a 911 swaybar. The 914 and 911 (up until 1989) have an interchangable front suspension.

That looks like a stock "under-body" 911 sway bar. They went from "through-body" (like the 914 front bar) to "under-body" (this type) in about 74.

Through-body is supposed to maintain better geometry, while the under-body type is cheaper and easier for the manufacturer to mount on the car.

does anyone make polyurethane bushings for this type of setup? I'm not sure I can put on a 914 style bar since my front end is cut up for the V8 conversion.

the stock thru body bar goes UNDER your gas tank. where do your water lines come thru?

in the first pic you can see the water line, it goes just under the steering rack and come out infront of the gas tank.

a thru body sway would work fine, and offers adjustability.

have you checked if pelican offers replacement poly bushings for the underbody 911 bars?
