Progress!!!

Cool thing about the club site being down is that I actually got a lot of work done on the car last week :D

I had a full week of vacation, the weather was excellent, so I rolled her out of the garage and started busting...

I started with the rear bumper
the fit was nice, just needed some very minor trimming
Welded on some tabs for the Dzus-fastners and slapped it on...

first I drilled some extra holes

then made some cuts for vent-panels
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1147689539.jpg

next, I welded in some tabs for the hoodpins

measure twice, drill once...

do these make my ass look big?
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1147689838.jpg

I mounted the front hood using the stock front hinges, which needed a little trimming to get the hood to align nicely
The "frame" of the hood needed some trimming as well. Step by step, I got it to fit as it should
Not bad really for f/g parts

Next I welded in tabs for the front hoodpins

I hoped to get the front fenders and front bumper done as well, but ...

The front bumper is about 2 inches too wide, so that needs some major surgery
I'm going to wait with that 'till I get the front valence

The front fenders need major surgery as well, but I did get some progress on those

I also need to do some welding on the driver side inner fender

Nice work man...

Amazing I got tons of stuff done this weekend too.

Maybe the club should go down more often...we all might have our cars done :D

Looks good. I spent some time on my car too this weekend. Installing Dzus fasteners on a car that is already painted is fun.:(

I like your chose of hardware. Very racecar looking.:D
