On-Topic rant: get off the damm club site ...
ok guys, i said it before, but obviously i am being ignored ...
GET OFF THE DAMM CLUB SITE there's nothing there to see for you until i tell you it's back up and running. all you do is slowing me down in my efforts to rebuild the site. 150+ constant connections refreshing the splash page in small intervals. whoever you are, you suck. big time ...  Andy

andy,
just an observation: not everyone from the club is over on the bird board, so it might be hard to notify everyone about your work in progress. good luck though, and thanks.

ok, here's the deal:
i saved a list of all the IP's that are constantly hitting the server. once the site is back up, i'm going to ban those users for a month ... how does that sound?  Andy

Just a question Sur Ahandie.......and sorry, I actually hit the site once today and found "IE cannot open the page you requested" while using the drop down menu to go somewhere else.....I guess I'm banned for a month now.....maybe I'll get the /6 conversion done..........

Wow. If hitting the server is causing such a problem, I would suggest pointing the DNS to a park page on another box until the server is ready. Take a load off. :beer2:
