 Rear Trunk Lid Alignment

		Hi All-
I've been figthing an alignment problem on my rear decklid. I finally got the replacement shoulder bolt and the trunk shocks are on the way. Currently, my configuration is one torsion bar on the right side until I get the new shocks in. I've been having difficulty getting the decklid aligned properly to latch nicely. It seems like when I do get it correct, it's too far back and the engine grill strikes the decklid. This is a real PITA. Much swearing ensued.... If anyone has any good tips, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Nate |

Have you considered the adjustable pivot kit from JWest Engineering?

 Yes, I have.
It seems like I should be able to get it with the stock hinges though. I don't think I'm far off as I can manually shift the lid if I can leave the deck bolts a little loose. |

Check the L-brackets that hold the engine lid onto the firewall. They tend to crack at the bend of the L, which lets the lid move back and interfere with the rear deck lid.
