Question 914-4 brake rotors

Does anyone know if the 914 rotors are the same as those fitted on standard (swingaxle) Beetles? I've just bought a kit for my 72 Beetle where the rotors are about 11" in diameter and uses the same bearings (I think) as those in the standard drum setup. If the rotors are the same, what other cars use the same rotors? Are the 914 calipers the same as the Beetle calipers?

The 914 rotors are a different height and won't properly align with your calipers. I believe the 914 calipers have the same bore as the later Ghia/Type III calipers used in the conversion kits (think 43mm). Anyway, the bolt mounting pattern is different and they won't bolt up. Which is disappointing since I was hoping to upgrade to BMW calipers on my Bug.
