PO rust patch over
 

The PO of my 914 did something a little strange, the battary tray seems to have been replaced(And he said he did...), but inside the fender, there is a small hole and I see, big surpise, rust. Looks like the bat. tray was replaced without fixing anything else. Anyone got sugestions?

So the question is what should I do? I have some spray stuff that the paint shop recomended to stop rust, and I could paint over later.
I don't want to remove the battary tray, but want to get some second opinions on what I should do.

Any way to get a spray head in there without removing the battary tray and maby ensure that I got it all?

That is a common problem with these cars. To do a proper repair I 'd order a new inner fender piece and strip the paint and reinforce the fender, POR15 both sides and repaint.
