Stock carpet?
Does anyone know what kind of carpet came stock in a 73 914? I hear loop, and perlon (peron?), but I am not a carpet guru. I am trying to get my 914 back to original type condition and the carpet deal is bugging me. Any ideas of what was stock, who has some of it, how much is it and how do I get me some?

914 CLub Trunk Thread Looks like Perlon to me on the board covering the spare and on the bulkhead. Mine is like that in the front and rear trunks. Mighty Sweet yellow car too

That is a pretty nice looking ride. So is the carpet in the trunks supposed to be different than the carpet in the cockpit? I am trying to make sure I put this back together as close to original as possible.

It is in every car I have seen. The carpet in stock cars I have looked at is loop in the cockpit, and a sort of felt stuff in the trunks. Similar to what was in my '79 super beetle behind the back seat
