Carbs for 2.0-4 914 Engine?

Yeah, I know, fuel injection is way to go The thing is, I'm putting this engine in a bug and need to convert it to upright cooling (DTM). This will require carbs (or a pricey itb fi system).

So I'm trying to figure out what carbs to run.

Can I tune a pair of Weber 40 idf's (with different venturis) to work on a stock 2.0 and then in the future on a pumped up 2270?

Thanks-
Craig Backer

I had a set of 40 IDF's on my 1.7 you could go with 40 or 44 IDF's
with little problem I would go with the 44 if you are planning to bigger then stock in the future
