ghost town and arial atoms and lotus 7s

Missing the club. Bored. Quiet around here with the club down. Enjoying a mega stout margarita like substance though... 8oz rum, 2oz sweet & sour. Toast would like it.

Back to cars. Custom mega fun project thoughts in mind...

Ariel Atom. Love it. Read an article in a recent car mag. Was very surprised to find, in a shoot out with 3 like-minded cars, the Atom didn't win hands down. In fact, it tied with the Caterham. Which is basically a Lotus 7 being produced by a modern company.

Ok, so I am looking at the Lotus 7 thing with new interest, especially since I was recently looking at Locost.

Anyone else been looking at building a "locost" kit?

A buddy of mine is a rotary guru. I figure a 250hp rotary motor would be perfect for this.

Sounds like a good bang for buck project.

A buddy of mine is building one.....

Look here....

He keeps finding new projects, so this one will take a while, but when it's done it'll be fast.

I like the Locost, it's a great platform for cool projects. A friend of mine had one for a long time, and kept asking what engine he should put in it. I kept saying he should put an arctic cat drivetrain in it. 200 HP, CVT driveline, wicked fast. He never did it though, ultimately he went the classical route and put a ford twin cam in it...

Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.
