Repaint the white on the dash knobs?

Hey all!

While installing my steering wheel the other day, I was looking at my headlight switch, fog light switch, ciggy lighter, etc. and noticed that the white (picture) part looked like crap.

Anyone ever repaint these? If so, what type of paint and how did you apply it?

Thx!

Don't know .... I would take it to one of those peeps that do the wimmens fingernails with little cutsie designs .. they would have brushes small enough to do that kinda detail.

Hey....nobody else has answered

Thin out some white model paint until it flows well, use a toothpick, dab it on the picture part until you fill out the design. Let it dry some, and carefully wipe off any excess.

MarkusB: that could work, I was worried that a single drop would be 'too large'.

Scrappy: although that idea sounds ridiculous it would probably work.. those people do some crazy stuff.

Hey Jason,

Those center pieces just pop out. I bought new ones a few years ago. I think I got mine from AA, maybe Pelican sells them or can get them.

you could use the white paint stuff that people use to highlight the stamps on guns.

i have no clue what its called but its a very true white and the paint flows well + its kinda the same concept.

Cool. Thanks guys. I'll see what the new ones cost. If cost prohibitive, I'll try to paint one, see how it works.
