I purchesed an engine lid from a guy through ebay. I went a little higher that I should have, but I wanted one fast. When I recieved the package, the lid was a little rougher than I thought was described and than the picture indicated. I am just going to cut it up to make a GT lid, so this didn't bother me too much either.
I paid the gentleman using Paypal. I made a mistake and used the wrong account (depleted) and the money was reversed (i got nailed by the bank though). the Paypal then attempted to pay via another method, but was cancelled by them. I contacted the seller and told him I would try again. That time it went through. Now I found out that even though my paypal history said cancelled, It really wasn't and I ended up paying twice. I sent the seller a request for a refund on one payment, but I haven't heard back. My guess is that he likes the $84 for a rusted POS engine cover. Paypal said they did not cancel and that it was between me and the seller to settle it. Any Idea's on what I can do to recoupe some much needed cash? ------------------ Dave 1970 914/6 1995 Golf GTI-VR6 1996 Passat TDI djm914-6@mediaone.net |

Unless the seller has a Verified account by Paypal, you can't do nothin', 'cept trust the sellers integrity for a refund.
Paypal is a 3rd party service and essentially are untouchable. BTDT |
