9146 stolen w/trailer San Diego

San Diego is pretty bad. Late last week my laptop was stolen from underneath my passenger seat as it sat out in my apartment complex parking lot. Now my trailer and somebody elses 9146 where stolen.

I couldnt figure out why so many people lived in gated communities down here

I vowed to move within 2 weeks to a better/nicer complex.. now I get to buy a 9146 and a new trailer!!!

Gotta love it.

I have lost so much in the last 2 weeks.. it makes me want to F_'ing PUKE!!!

Chances are they don't know it's a six, maybe it will pop up at one of the local VW shops for service?

Sorry to hear about the bad breaks, this too shall pass.

The trailer plate number is : 4EZ8586 Black 18ft open trailer with wood 2x12 flooring. White spoke generic wheels. The license plate is screwed to the drivers side fender.

The VIN on the 9146 : 9140431270 Black car with yellow showing. 14inch Fuchs alloys. 4 Yellow straps holding it on the trailer.

They knew what it was. They could easily see (9146) on the back of it. They had also stolen several other 9146 related parts out of the parking lot of off cars that would get moved in and out during the week.

Sorry to hear about this. My apt got robbed a couple weeks ago - laptops, ipods, etc - and I'm on a 5th floor walkup! I have insurance so it's not a terrible loss.

Are you covered on insurance?

A guy in these parts had a horrible thing happen - Ray Mital's 914 was @ the paint shop waiting its turn and WHAM, it got smashed by another driver. BUT, his insurance paid him out and he was able to buy a BEAUTIFUL 914 from Cali & got it shipped to the right coast. Happy ending.

Hopefully your story will have a happy ending too...

Called them. The girl who took my information remembered me calling about the laptop last Thursday morning (nice)

Lost Birgit. Lost the laptop. Lost the trailer. Lost a 9146 that I will now have to pay for. Lost James. The only thing I have left right now is my truck, my health and my job.

Just when things started to turn around for me.. you get slapped.

The trailer is only covered when it is attached to the truck (as far as I know)

Wow, that sucks B.

Put a wanted ad for a 914 on craigslist, offer cash for roller ect. If they are Meth heads, they may be dumb enough to answer it.

Brad, You'll get through these issues, just try to keep your head up. Life goes up and down and back up.

Probably in a container going overseas. They can't allow it to show up in North America. My good friend will be some upset when he hears the news, couldn't reach him yet.

My guess? It's already across the border in mexico.
Some lowlife with lots of money placed the order and the thieves are filling the order.

I just remembered that one of the contracting companies put up camera's in the parking lot. I promise it took them 10-15min to get the trailer. The tongue was locked and the nose of the trailer was on the ground. Unless they had 3-4 people with them.. it took them awhile. I think they used pallets to "jack" the trailer up. It should look good on the video. We will see. Should be able to get a description of the truck used and the number of people from the video.
