I bought a 74 2.0 that was not running. I have managed to get it running, however I don't see a good way to attach the throttle cable to the carb. It has the single Weber in the center of the engine. The cable seems to be way too long and doesn't pull at the correct angle. So far I have not been able to locate any linkage kit. How do these things work? Anybody have any suggestions?

you will need to make a bracket that attaches to the case bolts, or to manifold Base.Steve

Take a look at: http://www.coolfuelcells.com/914/carb.htm
It shows some pictures of a Webber I had on my old 1.7L, and the bracket Steve mentioned. I’m sure you can fashion your own with basic hand tools (drill and a vice). Tim |
