Starting a long stored 2.0

Ideas on firing a long stored stock '73 914 2.0. Totally redid gas tank, lines, filter. Getting fuel and have spark. Hoses are intact or seem to be! This has me stumped-I've been driving 914's since '71! Checked points, etc.

How sure are you that you're getting fuel? Does it fire at all? Wild guess, but one thing that keeps 914's from starting is an open circuit in the head temperature sensor. The right way to check it is to pull the ECU and check #23 on the socket to ground with an ohmmeter. If the engine is cold, you should read around 2K ohms. If it's open, disconnect the sensor and check it. If you get your 2K ohms, bad harness and/or connector. If not, bad sensor.
