Post 914 Door Handle Removal

Car is '74 1.8...problem removing outside door handle. Haynes manual says: from inside the door panel remove the socket headed bolt.
Question is: is this an "allen" socket and if so...what size?

It is an allen head. Don't remember what size though, pretty common.

The screw is an M6 screw, and I think those take a 5mm Allen key. Try the 5mm one, if you can't get it in at all (not even close), then try the 4mm one. Don't start with 4mm, if it's really 5 you can strip the head, which will make you very unhappy....
