Hi All - I have decided to move my oil cooler into the nose of the car. I have been trying to use as many "stock " parts as possible. Does anyone know of a fiberglass replica of the GT oil cooler shroud? I have heard that the steel replicas are a gazillion dollars. Those of you with front coolers - what did you use?
Thanks (a gazillion) Scott S |

try gt-racing.com In there catalog they have a shroud thats pretty much the same as the 914-6 gt.
I tried there online catalog and could not access the 914 parts. I beleive thay also still have carbon fiber too. If you have pics of your mounted front oil cooler I sm interested in seeing them. Kelly |

AIR shows one for $125
http://www.americaninternationalracing.com/ Also call Don at our fabulous host (Pelican). He announced to Rennlist that PP will be selling any and all fiberglass pieces for the 914 (and I assume 911 too). He said that they are in the process of updating the catalog. ------------------ Dave 1970 914/6 1995 Golf GTI-VR6 1996 Passat TDI djm914-6@mediaone.net |

If you decide the cost of a fiberglass replica is too high, you can make one of aluminum or galvanized sheet as I did on my race car. There are a couple of pictures with the racing setup article here on the PP site. I do have a larger outlet than the GT version and use an Earl's 50 row cooler which has to set at an angle to fit and it seems to cool really well. Good luck.
