fiberglass parts and their quality

has anyone dealt with fiberglass front/rear trunks, front/rear GT bumpers, valances, GT rockers, flares, etc? just trying to get an idea on the quality and where you got yours from. do the latch mechanisms work ok with fiberglass trunks? how much "finishing" is needed to get them ready for paint? thanks.

I have a fiberglass 916 front bumper on mine. So far i have bent it running it into a curb, litterally twisting it on the corner. I have also rear ended a saturn at about 3 mph. The thing has never broke. i have had it painted to get rid of scratches in the paint since. I beleve the bumper was purchased though automation by the P.O.
