You interested a subwoofer?

This isn't a sales pitch, but more of a research post. i am having a amplifier and a good set of speakers put in my car right now. At the same time, i am having the shop pull out the foam piece that goes in the passenger foot-well, and make a replica out of fiberglass to house a 8" subwoofer. Once the carpet is back in, all you would see is a black grill where the speaker is, and probably won't be able to see it unless you are in the car. I am going to see if this can be reproduced easily, but first i wanted to see if any of you had a interest in a hidden subwoofer that didn't take up any space in the car?

So nobody's interested in a hidden out of the way subwoofer? I mean it won't make the car go faster, but it will make it more enjoyable when you are not at the track. Oh well, I'll get over it.

I will see how it turns out, and get some pictures probably both in and out of the car. I and going with a planet audio neo 8 right now, but we are going to see if there is enough air and depth for the new shallow mount pioneer 10". More to follow later.

My car is already straining for electrical juice. With the lights on it barely has over 12 volts and idles lower than without the lights on. Another electrical drain and my alt might just give up.

Step on the gas a little harder. Actually I just had a amp installed to run my speakers and sub and she seems to be doing fine, although I haven't driven it in the dark with the windows down and the stereo cranked!

OK, the box is done, and it looks great. Took my 70 914-6 down to have everything put in this morning, and the floorboards are different between this car, and the 73 914-4 we made the box for! Now i need to sell this thing, but it will only fit a 73 and later, and has to use the sub that we built the box around. I am trying to figure out what the box and speaker is going to cost if any of you with newer cars are interested, i should know shortly. This sucks!
