914 turn signal switch constantly on
All,
I can't figure it out...the light for my turn signal is on all the time..kind of like my parking lights are on but they are not. The turn signal is in the correct even position and sometimes the the turn signals require and extra firm push to stay on...any ideas for a fix? Also, my high beams are not working at all...what could cause that? The high beam indicator never comes on and the relay has been checked and works...any ideas? Thanks! John

just a guess, but maybe wires going into the back of the instrument panel are crossed - could that cause this type of random behaviour?

by always on, you mean, regardless of whether or not the key is onor off? And no flashing, just lit?

Did it used to work correctly? If so, I'd suspect the switch.
Get out the wiring diagram and trace it, only way to really know for sure. Shouldn't be that difficult. |

it seems to be really dim..the flashers work..and this just started over the last couple of days...the high beams have never worked..only low beam.
