From the picture to me it looks like your sparkplug wire which most motor parts places can get the complete wire.

Kinda looks like a SP wire to me too, but it can't be, that's just too easy???

This is a trick question, right?

Um ... farleyd, are you sure you ought to be tearing this engine apart?

Uh oh; I'm getting a little scared here.

Come on guys, be a little more helpfull. My local auto parts can only say the obvious -OH! its for a Porsche, sorry we dont carry.

Even Pelican’s own salesmen were clueless and shipped the wrong connector.

So id appreciate a part number, and a place where to buy.

And yes, i am tearing the engine apart.

Sorry, me again. Before i win the dumbest topic of the week, i have to say that:
1) i KNOW that this is a spark plug wire
2) its the end of that cable that mystifies salemen. Most connector have screws into their angled part. I am looking for one that is threaded female inside, as my SP wire ends with a thread male part.
The cables are connectors are new, never used, so id like to spare them if possible.

If it is a brand new Porsche OE spark plug cable...try your local dealer. If you are having trouble getting the right part, it sure helps to bring in the old one in person to show the guy at the counter.

Hello

This is a Porsche 911 CIS spark connector. They where used from 1977 to 1984 then the follow ups have a other design and material but fit.

Every Porsche dealer has them. manufactorerer is Beru and ordernumber is mostly on the connector. ( Script or engrved later risen numbers ) I think VK/E 6.

The 3mm connector ends can be bought loose from Bosch or Beru and where used in many european cars ( Ferrari, Mercedes, BMW, Audi...)

They run around 10 cent each and need a clamping tool.
