Window Repair Kits
A couple of issues back the 914 club offered some window repair kits that were supposed to keep the regulators intact. I ordered two sets, but they have never shown up. Anyone else had any luck with said kits? Any other suggestions and or suppliers, i.e. Pelican? The 2 by 4 holding the window up now kind of sucks.

Do you mean that the Club itself offered the kits, or one of the advertisers in the Twin Trunks Tribune (TTT) offered it?
Depending on who offered it, I might have a line to the supplier. --DD |

Sorry, it was the 914 Owners Association out of Palm Springs. I should have made the distinction. Yes it was offered by the Association.

The 914 OA, as far as I know, is still run by Dennis Deeds. I have an e-mail address for him that is several years old. I don't know if this is still correct, but his address USED to be:
DENNIS DEEDS <5010.4218@trader.com> Hopefully he can help with your problem. Good luck! --DD |

The TTT is the official newsletter of the "914 Club". (Which used to be the Renegade 914 Club, to differentiate it from the 914 OA.)
They are the folks who put up the website at www.dgi.net/914 , which has lots of useful info. The club has been very disorganized in the past year or two, but things have started improving. Hopefully they will continue to do so--like getting the newsletter out quarterly, instead of annually. Pelican (and a couple of others) have been good enough to sponsor the club's website. Thanks for that, guys! --DD |
