Manifold Pressure Control Sensor

I'm having intermittent problems accelerating, and I've been told the problem is my MPC sensor. Is this a common problem?

Bucking? thats usually the TPS on the throttle body so try unplugging it to see if it clears up.

The MPS controls the AFR via manifold vacuum, so if you have tons of vacuum leaks due to old hoses, seals etc the AFR can be off.

The vacuum advance plate inside the dizzy could be sticking too.

Bucking indeed, but only occasionally. Thanks for your advice; I'll check those things as well.
