New owner, steering question
I just bought a 1970 914 that is a work in progress. Instead of a fork type joint, track tube, and end ball joint there is a single piece tie rod with 2 ball joints on the left (drivers) side. The right side is original equipment. The newer tie rod has J22 marked on it under the strut ball joint. Does anyone know the supplier of this tie rod? I want to put one on the other side.

Sound like someone has installed one turbo tie rod. They can be gotten here at Pelican. You'll have to ask if they will sell you just one

I have two, need info
The one pictured is for the passenger side. I want to get some information on how to install it, before I try. It's pretty straight-forward but I always like to study something before I do it.
