Ignition Switch Again!!!
On the steering column of my 1974 914-4, there are 2 plastic blocks that PLUG into connectors for the windshield wiper and the parking light switch (PR, P1, PL), emergency flasher switch (L, 49a, R) and the Dimmer Switch (-S, S, 31). There should??, also be a plastic connector for the IGNITION SWITCH. In my last "thread", I asked about wiring the ignition switch.
The first picture shows the original IGNITION SWITCH: ![]() The second picture shows the IGNITION SWITCH after the seat belt warning system was removed: ![]() The third picture shows the IGNITION SWITCH after the wiring was charged per your recommendations: ![]() There is NO plastic connector for the IGNITION SWITCH, should ther be and if so should I add it. Or can I just Soldier, connect, etc. the wires as shown in picture 3?? |
