Question 914 trama question for those who know 914s

My 914 ignition switch got stuck in the start position while the engine just started and was running since the key was stuck while I disconnected the battery. It burned out the starter. I had to replace the ignition switch and starter. Since that time I have replaced my 1.8 motor with a 2.0

I have installed the 2.0 motor it runs great but when I hook up the yellow wire that comes from the relay board to the soleniod I get the same problem, soon as I turn the ignition on before the start position the starter come on and stays on and the motor fires and runs.

Anyone have any idea what could be wrong ???

I have replaced all fuses, relays under dash, relay board and fuses in the engine compartment. Ive owned about four 914s and never had trauma like this.

Please email me If you have any suggestions before I have to send it to some shop.

Thanking you in advance.
Chris

Ok, so your starter is engaged all the time.

1st, disconnect the T12 connector at the back of the relay board in the engine compartment. Connect the battery and see if the starter engages.

Tell us the results. Then we can help more.
