Exclamation help!! gas tank cap

yesterday i tried to remove my gas cap and it was stuck!!! can someone assist me in removing it?

Do you have the early metal cap or the later plastc cap?
It may possibly be under pressure from the heat and you may want to wait until the evening when the temps fall to try again.

My plastic one gets stuck sometimes. A "light" coat of anti-seize or white lithium grease might help.
