I don't know what these parts are called so I need some help.

I don't have a picture either.

I need a few of those tabs that that you put on to parts that are not threaded to accept a bolt. What are these called?

On a 914, they are in different places. They hold the bumper grills on an early bumper. I'm trying to find two more to accept the bumper bolts so I can install a 916 front bumper.

Speed nuts, they have them at the hardware store,

I also found a captured nut that is used to hold the passenger side door handle to the door frame at the local hardware store, and it looks like the metric oval head SS screws they have would be perfect for the mirror or door latch

The ones I found at my local hardware store were called "U-speed nuts". I guess the "U" part was that the flat metal was folded over to allow you to slide the "nut" onto whatever sheet metal is needed.

The baggy I got called them U - Bolts. M8 x 1.25.

I got some new bolts and hardware for the bumper. I need a Fastenal or NAPA next door because I think I'm going to have to replace any old hardware as I get to it.
