has any one had this problem

and how do i fix it

i am getting bubbles of air in my fuel filter ( 75 1.8 pump up front ) i changed gas tanks and have hose clamps on both ends, it is making my car run like a honda ( crappy ) it runs bad till warm then it runs worse, i lose power drasticly like it has 2 cylinders not running because it does due to no fuel for a minute then comes back

changed filters and pump too

i can see any leaks for air to get in, meaning no fuel leaks when not running

i need this fixed fast this is a daily driver

I'm wondering if this is the same problem I'm having. The pump spins fine but occasionally grumbles and the car starts to die then it hums again and the car runs fine again. I put new o-rings in the pump and put it all back together and now NOTHING comes out at all....it just hums...see my other post.....Brian

If fuel is moving to slowly through the system, it is possible that some is vaporizing in the lines and causing the bubbles... in other words the fuel is spending too much time in a hot engine compartment.

Source of the problem... you fuel pump is not putting out a high enough rate.... your lines are running too close to some hot stuff.

The solution is to move the fuel faster... better performing pump, (keep pressure regulator setting constant). Move fuel lines away from source of heat.

.... or it could be a completely different problem.

Check inside the tank to make sure the suction is not blocked and also check the suction line to make sure it is not crimped or has any sharp bends anywhere. Good luck
