I just recently purchased a '71 914 1.7 to restore. The current color of it is a midnight blue, but the original color is L60E Irish Green. I was looking for some pictures of a car painted this color to see if I like it. Anybody have any?

Go buy the August issue of excellence magazine.
There's a great article of a restored '70 914/6, and it's painted Irish Green. You lucked out. |

My -6 is Irish Green and I just posted some pics in my Pelican Profile. They aren't great but it was December in VA and she had just rolled in off a flatbed the night before.

Justin,
I have to see your car some time. I store mine in Burke. Yours looks very nice indeed...wish I had a 6. Nathan PS: The Irish Green 914/6 in Excellence is awesome, the details are phenominal. A must read for anyone who thinks they obsess about their car! ------------------ '73 2.0 914 |

This is the 914/6 from the Excellence article:
![]() For some dumb reason, I only took this one (lame) picture. At the time (PCA Santa Barbara Concours last Fall), I didn't realize how significant this car is. I think it is as close to a "new" 914 as you will ever find these days, at least outside of the Porsche museum. Chris C. |
