Any suggestions on after market seats that fit well in the 914's? I like the Konig seat, but the price is a little more then I would like to part with. Being 6'1" I need something that will not sit to high because of headroom. I would appreciate your advice.
Thanks, Ian Arlington, VA |

I really like the seats that renegade hybrids makes for the 914. They are based on the std seat but have really nice bolsters and 5-point harness holes. They are at max $400, I think. Go to their site and write them an e-mail.
Hey Pelican, you guys should sell these seats!! Pic of the seats Nathan PS: where in arlington are you, considering I'm in the area? ------------------ '73 2.0 914 [This message has been edited by JmuRiz (edited 07-25-2001).] |

Not doing much for Ian, but my seats are "stock" and I love them. I just had them recovered with vinyl on the sides and back and Recaro cloth on the back pad and seat. The guy added padding to it and really did one hell of a job! If anyone is interested I can post pics, but they look almost exactly like stock seats. Only dead giveaway is the head rest was done in cloth as well.

If you want the Hard Core Race Look, go for either a Kirkey or Ultra-Shield aluminum seat! Cost is reasonable and you can fit a seat with 19 inches of inside width in the drivers place and still have a roll cage on the left and shifter clearance on the right! If the aluminum color is not cool, POR-15 will cover it very well. Good luck.
