In the technical pages it says that a Bosch 205AA distributor works best with carbs. I have a 1.7 with carbs and am wondering the best place to buy a Bosch 205aa dizzy. Are these still sold new or do I have to buy used? Thanks

"Best" is a very subjective term... There are those who feel anything with vacuum advance or retard is not appropriate for carbs, and those who feel otherwise.

The Mallory Unilite has a very good reputation for carb'ed cars, nowadays.

The 205AA is a stock 1.8L 914 distributor. Quite pricey if you can find them new. Your stock 1.7 distributor will work reasonably well.
